Your Home Biz Guide

Issue # 17

Dear Subscriber,

Welcome to the 17th edition of my newsletter.

Oh, my gosh!!  I cannot believe that Halloween is this week!! Caitlyn, our oldest daughter, has a parade with her kindergarten class.  We still have to work on her costume- she will likely be some kind of princess.  She is very much into dressing up and being a princess- which is NOT something I was ever into when I was little- I was the biggest tomboy around- kind of unusual because I have 3 much older sisters and no brothers.  So Caitlyn is not quite the exact opposite of me- because she will still go out and climb trees.  She's just combined the two- in fact, sometimes she combines them at the same time.  We had my oldest sister and her family (she has two boys) over for dinner one night (my nephews are more like older brothers to our kids because we used to live right next door to them and now we live one street away).  Anyway, they were over for dinner and Caitlyn comes out into the living room in the new Cinderella dress that my mom got her, and says "Cameron and Bryan Jr look at my Cinderella dress.  wanna play football in the dining room?"

But I've gotten off track...

The year is going by so quickly!  Pretty soon it will be Thanksgiving - I'll be another year older and then it will be Christmas.  I love this time of year!  I love the changing of the leaves and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday (and not just because my birthday is on Thanksgiving every 4 years).  This is just a fun time of year.  Even though I've grown up in New England, I never tire of the beautiful scene of the fall when the trees are so beautiful.

I have come across another program that I am heavily promoting and I am sure it is no accident that I came across it-- and no accident that I "met" the person who I joined with.  I plan to have $500,000 by January 2nd, by getting 10 people to join with me and then helping them get 10 people-- it is QUITE achievable and the program is quite appealing.  Take a look: http://www.claimyourprosperity.com/millionaire.

Anyway, since I wrote an article about how you are too busy NOT to track your ads- I figured I would send you this article with the best FREE ad tracking method around.

Enjoy the article!

Best wishes,
Liz Martinez

Easy as Pie Ad Tracking
by Dee Brian

Successful advertisers know that you must have a system
for tracking your ads. You must be able to easily and
quickly determine which of your ads is producing results.

The easiest way I have found for tracking my ads is to
create a gateway page with the name of my ad key. For
example sa10.html is the gateway page for an ad in
Scientific Advertising (sa) for January (1) 2000 (0).
So in my ad the link looks like

<http://www.usedmice.com/ads/sa10.html>.

This gateway page redirect the visitor to my main page
<http://www.usedmice.com/>. The gateway page uses a Meta
tag that can redirect a visitor to another page or web
site.

It looks like this:

<META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="1;URL=http://usedmice.com">

Where the content is refreshed in 1 second and it is
refreshed with the default page for usedmice.com.

In fact the whole program is 8 lines long. This is what
it looks like.

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Used Mice</TITLE>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="1;URL=http://usedmice.com">
</HEAD>
<BODY BGCOLOR="FFFFFF">
</BODY>
</HTML>

I just save this document as sa10.html in my ad folder.

Then I am ready to place my ads. The beauty of this
system is that it is automatically logged in your log or
stats file. You don't have to do anything special for it
to work, just upload the file to your server.

You can also use this even if your hosting company
doesn't give you stats or logging files. All you have to
do is just put a counter on the gateway page and visit
that page to see how many have come through it. You might
want to increase the refresh rate to 2 or 3 seconds to
give you enough time to read your counter.

I also use this method for tracking my ads for affiliate
programs. The visitor is redirect to the affiliate site.

Have a prosperous week - I know I plan to!!
